Game Warden Association assists block management cooperators with fencing

Wardens from Montana’s Fish, Wildlife, and Park’s (FWP) region 7 assisted a block management cooperator with replacing fencing on their property. With the help of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Pheasants Forever, the Custer rod and gun club, the Colstrip rod and gun club, wardens came together to donate both time and money to help the landowner who has continuously been enrolled in FWP’s access program. Fences on the property were destroyed in wildland fires last year. It was a great event in which wardens were able to expand partnerships with private landowners, resource agencies, other nonprofit organizations, and the recreating public to expand and maintain access for hunting and fishing.
