Ryan Wagner Memorial Scholarship Ice Fishing Derby

The Montana Game Warden Association donated $500 to help fund the Ryan Wagner Memorial Scholarship Ice Fishing Derby at Murphy Lake near Eureka Montana. The Derby was started as a memorial to Ryan Wagner, a local angler and student who was killed in a vehicle accident. Area warden Ben Chappelow said the derby is the best derby he has seen promoting youth angling. Most of the best prizes go to youth anglers and every kid who shows up gets a free fishing pole from Walleye’s Unlimited. The derby raises money for local student scholarships.
